## Core terms

* **CXP**: Context Exchange protocol.
* **Context Capsule**: portable, versioned context artifact describing intent, constraints, policy, parameters, and provenance.
* **Execution Target**: the entity that acts (agent, robot, device).
* **Adapter**: translation layer from a CXP plan into target-native actions (tools/APIs or robot stack).
* **Capability Descriptor**: machine-readable description of a target’s abilities, limits, and interfaces.
* **Match Result**: compatibility assessment (green/yellow/red) + reasons + required mitigations.
* **Execution Plan**: concrete steps derived from capsule + target binding.
* **Execution Receipt**: auditable record of what happened (including telemetry for robots).

## Profiles

* **CXP-Agent**: profile for software execution.
* **CXP-Robot**: profile for physical execution.
* **C2A**: “Context → Agent” profile (specialization of CXP-Agent).
* **C2R**: “Context → Robot” profile (specialization of CXP-Robot).
